Life is quickly changing

On November 9, 2012 my life as I knew it had instantly changed for the better.  That was the day I found out that I was pregnant with our sweet baby boy.  I have never been both so excited and so afraid all at once.  I couldn't help but think, "Am I really ready for this huge responsibility?"

I have done a lot of praying since I found out I was pregnant.  It's extremely scary to be responsible for another human, physically and most importantly spiritually.  I have prayed over and over," God, please help me to be a great mom.  Help me to lead my child down the path of truth and righteousness.  I pray that he will not turn away from that path and that he will always be faithful."

As the weeks have gone by I have realized the only way to truly teach my child how to live faithfully is to show him through my own life.  I have to stop being lazy and start getting busy for the kingdom.  I never want my child to think that being a Christian means to "sit and retain the right answers." It's about getting up, doing, and sharing the word with others!

So as my journey continues, I ask that you would pray for me as I become a mommy.  Pray that I am able to teach my child the way that he should go and that I am able to show him how to live by the way that I live.
